British Open qualifying slots
Four players earned themselves coveted places in the qualifying draw
for September's Dunlop British Open at the Northern Club in
Manchester this weekend.
Eddie Charlton, who saved several match balls in his
semi-final comeback win against Alistair Mutch, will meet James
Snell in the men's final, safe in the knowledge that they will
both be appearing in the main event in a few weeks. Eddie managed to
get 2/1 ahead in the final but the earlier efforts began to tell as
Snell took the final two games.
In the women's event youngsters again prevailed, with Emma
Chorley and Fiona Moverley coming through to the final,
where Emma prevailed in straight games.
